Tools: Knife and cutting board, a medium mixing bowl, forks or potato masher, measuring cups and spoons

3small ripe avocadosmashed
¼cupred onionfinely chopped
1/3cupRoma tomatoseeded and finely chopped (approximately ½ of a Roma tomato)
1tablespooncilantro leavesfinely chopped
2tablespoonslime juicefreshly squeezed
1Jalapeño pepperseeded and finely chopped
1dash cumin powder
1dash ground black pepper
Cut avocados in half and remove the pits (see note). Scoop out the avocado flesh and discard the peel. Place the avocado flesh into a mixing bowl and use a fork or masher to briefly mash the avocado flesh.
Stir in the remaining ingredients and serve.
